Two Calgary locksmiths named Bruce Attwell and Ernie Olson founded ABOE Lockworks in 1978. The company name was derived from the founder's initials "BA" and "EO". Having 3 vowels made it difficult to come up with anything, but after several variations "ABOE" was created. The company started off small, working out of two old vans. Within a few months business had begun to take off. ABOE then opened their first shop on 16th Avenue NW. Five years later, they moved to a larger location on Centre Street N. In 1988 they moved to their present location at 1308 Centre Street N.

ABOE is well known around the city of Calgary for their distinctive yellow and black vans. They also have distinctive customer service. Their motto has always been, "Provide the very best job possible at a reasonable rate" In August of 2000, Bruce turned in his keys, sold his shares and retired. This left Ernie to carry on with the business with his team of locksmiths.

ABOE continues to thrive as one of Calgary's oldest locksmith companies. Their 5 service vans are able to provide on-the-spot locksmith service for your entire locksmith and security needs. ABOE Lockworks' services have grown in time to include safes, automotive locks, door and window security, Card access systems and much more. They are able to provide service for any job, big or small, residential or commercial. When you want the best for all your security needs call ABOE Lockworks.
